Although there is no as much free content in the app than on the website, there are still quite some free content for you to check it out. Starfall Free is available on iPhone, iPod and iPad. I hope Starfall will continue moving more content into the app, but I am not sure how much and how fast. At the time of this post, it is not yet a replacement of the website. It looks like Starfall is actively adding contents to this free app, although the free app is currently serving as an extension of the website, giving subscribers the convenience of mobile access. The app also takes off some of the content that is in those unit apps, such as ABC and Numbers.
#STARFALL ABC FOR FREE#
There is free content, but is less than what you can have for free on the website. The purpose of the free app is to give Starfall subscribers some access to the content on Apple devices. I am using the word “mirroring” loosely, as the app in fact has less content than the website, especially the free part. Additionally, they now also have a free app mirroring Starfall website’s content.
They launched several unit apps first, like Starfall ABC, Starfall Numbers, and Starfall Learn to Read. However, the partnership seems ended, and we don’t see Starfall on Rover any more. At the time I posted the review, Starfall had partnership with Rover.
Rover is an app that transforms flash files instantly and makes them functional on Apple devices. Last year I shared how to access Starfall website on iPad via a free app Rover. However it uses flash, and flash doesn’t work on iPad and iPhone, so for very long time, people can’t access Starfall from their iPhone and iPad. Starfall is a wonderful website with many great learning materials for kids in PreK to Grade2.
